When a title won’t play, check format, permissions, and source connectivity first.

Confirm the format
Watchly plays MP4, MKV, AVI, MOV, and many other containers. Extremely rare codecs may still fail — try another encode or a Direct URL test file you know works.
Check access and network
For cloud, Plex, Jellyfin, or SMB, make sure the device is online and Watchly still has permission. Re-open the source if tokens expired.
Retry from the source
Open Sources, verify the library is listed, and play from Library instead of a stale Continue Watching card.
