Connect SMB, FTP, NFS, or WebDAV

Stream from a NAS or shared folder on your network — with discovery when devices are on the same Wi‑Fi.

  1. Open Network Shares

    In Sources → Add Source → Network Shares, choose SMB, FTP, NFS, or WebDAV.

  2. Use discovery or enter details

    Watchly can auto-discover shares on your LAN when local network access is allowed. Or enter host, share path, and credentials manually.

  3. Save and browse

    Once connected, browse folders like any other source. Large libraries index into Home and Library as Watchly finds video files.

  4. Keep the network steady

    Use a reliable Wi‑Fi or Ethernet path to your NAS. Sleeping drives or VPN quirks are common causes of “source offline” errors.
